Juvenile Delinquency

A child in the gutter, a phantom unseen,
A whisper of havoc where innocence’s been.
A candle extinguished by hands of neglect,
A shadow that dances in glassed disrespect.

The alleys of anguish, the tombs of the lost,
The price of indifference—can we count the cost?
From cradle to chaos, a cycle engrained,
The verdict was written before it was named.

A touch from the void, a lesson unsaid,
A father’s absence, a mother’s dread.
Society’s dagger concealed in its folds,
We fashion the demons then shun what it molds.
