Melting Pot
Drums collide in rhythm’s womb,
A people forged in fire’s plume.
Salt and saffron, spice and steel,
A tempered soul no chains can seal.
Tongues entwine in battered speech,
A lexicon no past can bleach.
Roots unbroken, bent but bold,
Tales of echoes, never old.
A broth of blood, of sun and tide,
Boiled in hands that won’t divide.
A restless hymn, a tempered song,
A people bound, yet standing strong.
Each note, each beat, a sacred thread,
A past endured, a future bred.
A people forged in fire’s plume.
Salt and saffron, spice and steel,
A tempered soul no chains can seal.
Tongues entwine in battered speech,
A lexicon no past can bleach.
Roots unbroken, bent but bold,
Tales of echoes, never old.
A broth of blood, of sun and tide,
Boiled in hands that won’t divide.
A restless hymn, a tempered song,
A people bound, yet standing strong.
Each note, each beat, a sacred thread,
A past endured, a future bred.
