My Dog Lucky
A wagging tail, a joyful bark,
A friend who guides through paths so dark.
His paws like whispers on the ground,
Where solace hides, where love is found.
He knows the words I’ll never say,
My shadow bright, my night turned day.
With eyes that gleam, he reads my soul,
A compass pure, a tethered whole.
But time is cruel, its grasp unkind,
It steals the things we leave behind.
His final breath, a fleeting gale,
A loyal heart, a bittersweet tale.
And yet I feel his spirit roam,
In every corner of my home.
A phantom paw, a bark, a sigh—
My Lucky lives, he’ll never die.
A friend who guides through paths so dark.
His paws like whispers on the ground,
Where solace hides, where love is found.
He knows the words I’ll never say,
My shadow bright, my night turned day.
With eyes that gleam, he reads my soul,
A compass pure, a tethered whole.
But time is cruel, its grasp unkind,
It steals the things we leave behind.
His final breath, a fleeting gale,
A loyal heart, a bittersweet tale.
And yet I feel his spirit roam,
In every corner of my home.
A phantom paw, a bark, a sigh—
My Lucky lives, he’ll never die.
