Smooth Operator
He strides through halls of smoke and steel,
A serpent cloaked in charm’s appeal.
His words, like silk, seduce the air,
A gilded web, a false affair.
With every deal, his shadows grow,
A labyrinth of quid pro quo.
He loves in whispers, fleeting, cold,
His promises are spun from gold.
But cracks reveal what lies beneath,
A hollow heart, a blade unsheathed.
His empire built on brittle sand,
A crumbled throne, a lonesome hand.
And yet the world still sings his song,
A melody where right feels wrong.
For even snakes can wear the crown,
While truth is lost where lies abound.
A serpent cloaked in charm’s appeal.
His words, like silk, seduce the air,
A gilded web, a false affair.
With every deal, his shadows grow,
A labyrinth of quid pro quo.
He loves in whispers, fleeting, cold,
His promises are spun from gold.
But cracks reveal what lies beneath,
A hollow heart, a blade unsheathed.
His empire built on brittle sand,
A crumbled throne, a lonesome hand.
And yet the world still sings his song,
A melody where right feels wrong.
For even snakes can wear the crown,
While truth is lost where lies abound.
